The PTG Foundation offers grants for research pertaining to the science and history of the piano. The Foundation seeks projects that are focused on factors related to piano technology in areas such as history, design, materials, creation of sound in a piano, etc. Any original research project that aims to advance the knowledge of the technical community and the public in these subject areas will be considered. Grants may be used to purchase equipment, to gain access to research materials, and to defray expenses directly related to research projects. Research with results related to contemporary technical work on pianos is preferred but not required.
Grants may be awarded for up to $5,000.00.
